Gas Power Plant:

Safe design of gas shut-off valves, site survey, process development and design of new plant.

The Problem

Installation of new Slam Off Quick Acting Isolation Valves in a 400mm diameter high pressure gas feed to the turbines. Valves had to be located a minimum distance from the turbine with a dedicated downstream depressurisation vent that could reduce the pressure to 1 barg in less than 15 secs. All equipment had to be accessible for inspection and maintenance.
